Everything people ask before their first pickup - and a few things we wish they'd ask.
Head to Book a pickup, enter your ZIP code, tell us roughly what you're donating, and choose a time slot that suits you. The whole thing takes about two minutes, and you'll see the exact price before you pay.
Light Pickup (one bag, up to 20 lbs) is $24.99 onwards. Flexi Pickup, for more bags or boxes, is $42.99 onwards depending on the vehicle you choose, and our Books Only Pickup is also $42.99 onwards. Corporate donation drives are $249.99 onwards. Your fee depends on the distance from your address to the organization your items are matched with. It includes collection and delivery, and you see it before you pay. No surprises at the door.
It's a service fee. It covers our logistics partner, who collects your bags, and the platform that matches and tracks everything - so the organization receives your items free of charge. Think of it as postage for generosity.
Nope. Leave your bags at your door, porch, lobby or with a doorman, add a note in your booking, and we'll take it from there.
Any sturdy bags or boxes you already have - grocery bags, totes, cartons. No special packaging needed. Just make sure everything is clean, dry and ready for its next owner.
Yes - contact us via WhatsApp on +1 (669) 322-5186. Rescheduling is free up to 24 hours before your pickup. Cancelling 24 hours or more before carries a cancellation fee of 4% or $3, whichever is higher. After that, the fee is 4% or $10 (Light) / $40 (Flexi, Books Only and corporate drives), whichever is higher. See the pricing page for details.
Payments are processed by Stripe with bank-level encryption. We never see or store your card details.
To Bay Area organizations we support - shelters, community organizations and other social orgs. Our matching system pairs what you gave with what an organization needs right now, and we'll let you know the name of the organization that received them.
No. We're a pickup service, not a charity - the fee you pay is for the collection and the match, not a donation, so it isn't tax-deductible and we don't issue tax receipts. Your items reach the receiving organization free of charge. If you need a receipt for the goods themselves, ask the organization that received them - we'll let you know which one.
No. It's a service fee for the collection, the match and the platform. It isn't a charitable contribution, and we never collect or hold money on behalf of any organization. The only thing that reaches them is your items - free of charge.
We don't. Everything from your pickup is delivered to an organization we support, free of charge to them, and they decide how to use it. Our pickup fee is what keeps the service running - it isn't tied to your items.
Your items go straight to the matched organization, and they decide what they can use - so please only give what's clean, complete and working.
Our smart matching usually decides based on live needs, but if you have a preferred cause, mention it in your booking notes and we'll do our best to match it.
We're live in San Francisco, San Jose, Fremont, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Mountain View, Redwood City, Palo Alto, Cupertino and Menlo Park - with more ZIP codes opening soon. Enter yours on the booking page to check.
Absolutely, and it's free. Tell us your location and items, and we'll email you a list of relevant organizations we support so you can coordinate directly and do the driving yourself.
Clothes, shoes, bags, toys, books and school supplies - clean, complete and working. See the full list (and the no-list) on What we take.

Our pickup service is $24.99 onwards - the fee funds the collection and delivery that gets your items to organizations at zero cost to them. The free route: request a drop-off list and drive your donations to a nearby organization yourself.
Share At Door Step is the platform: you book with us, we match your items to a local organization that can use them, and we arrange the collection. The pickup itself is carried out by our logistics partners, booked for your time slot. Same confirmation, same tracking - we just don't drive the van ourselves.
Doorstep/curbside by default - bags at your door, porch or lobby. For heavy or bulk items, request in-home assistance via our bulk donation page.
Not right now - pickups need a little notice. Enter your ZIP on the booking page to see the time slots available in your area.
